Term's & Conditions

Terms & Conditions / FAQs

1. Do you sell personalised registrations?

Number Plate Print only sells replacement number plates. To purchase number plates on our site you must have permission from the person that owns the registration. To ensure number plates are only purchased by those that own the registration, and to comply with DVLA registered number plate supplier rules, when purchasing your number plate we request proof of ownership and identification documents.

Regarding personalisation, we offer 2 different variations aside from standard legal plates; 3D Gel and 4D Laser Cut.

2. How long will it take for me to receive my number plates?

All orders submitted before 16:00, Monday to Friday will be available for collection within an hour. Orders after this time will be available the following day. Orders submitted on Saturday or Sunday will not be ready until the following Monday.

Alternatively, if you require us to deliver your plates to your address, please order before 13:00 to have them dispatched the same day, otherwise, they will be dispatched the following day.

Number Plate Print offers 2 postage options:

  • Standard delivery arrival within 3 working days of being dispatched

  • First-class delivery - 99% arrive next day but can be up to 3 days

Please note Number Plate Print has no control over orders once they are sent out, and any delays are solely the responsibility of the courier. If your order is delayed we will do our best to rectify the situation as soon as possible.

3. Will my replacement number plates arrive pre-drilled?

Drill holes vary depending on the manufacturer and model of your vehicle so plates will be sent out without drill holes. The easiest way to fit new number plates to your vehicle is to use our sticky pads, which do not require any drilling. Alternatively, you can purchase our fixing kit which includes all the required screws and caps to fix the replacement number plates to your car.

4. Are you registered with the DVLA to make replacement number plates?

Number Plate Print is powered by Acquire Print Limited and we use it as a trading name. We are registered number plate suppliers and adhere to DVLA rules and guidelines for selling number plates. To check we are a registered number plate supplier you can search the DVLA record by clicking the following link and searching HA2 8HB, our business postcode. We will be listed as Acquire Print Limited.

5. Can I alter the spacing on my new number plates?

Incorrectly spaced number plates are illegal and can result in a fine of up to £1,000, along with an MOT failure.

6. Do you take telephone orders?

Orders can be made online or via telephone. To speak to one of our friendly team members to place your order or for advice, you can call us on 0208 075 0380. Our telephone lines are open from Monday to Friday, from 09:00 to 17:00.

7. Do you discount for regular, trade, or bulk orders?

Please contact us if you are regularly purchasing replacement number plates. We will do our best to help cater to your requirements.

8. How do I cancel an order?

As we print orders as soon as they're placed, in some cases it may not be possible to issue a refund as the number plates have already been made. If you would like to cancel your order please contact us as soon as possible (within the hour if your order was placed online, otherwise within 10 minutes if you have called us directly). If the new number plates have not been created we will issue a refund.

9. Do your number plates include your legal details? / Are your number plates road-legal?

All of our number plates feature the required legal markings. This means that the text "Acquire Print Limited - UB6 0HH" will be shown at the bottom centre of the plate and "BSAU 145d" will be shown on the bottom right of the plate. This text allows the relevant authorities to find out which company produced the number plates if required.

10. Do I need to send in documents?

As a DVLA registered number plate supplier, we have to request documents that prove your identity and that you can use the registration number. We understand this is a slight inconvenience, but do our best to ensure sending documents to us is made as simple as possible. Be aware of other suppliers that do not request these documents, as it may suggest the replacement number plates they are producing are not road legal.

When sending in documents, we require one of each of the following:

10.1 To confirm your identity

  • Driving licence

  • Utility, Council Tax or rates bill from the last 6 months

  • Bank or building society statement from the last 6 months
